Next to Karidi beach in Vourvourou, Melia restaurant opened its doors in 2017 and brings a new level of fine dining to Halkidiki. Melia joins a list of world class restaurants opened under the supervision of Yannis Baxevanis in places such as Australia, Dubai, South Africa and Switzerland. Yannis is Greece’s foremost celebrity chef who has revolutionized Greek Cuisine. If you time it right you may get the chance to have your meal prepared by Yannis himself!
The atmosphere is exquisite, the open air concept in a fragrant pine forest together with soft music and dim lighting all combine to create an intimate dining experience. Wednesdays and Fridays offer the guests a variety of live music. Part of the restaurant also has a take away kitchen where you can put in an order to take to the beach.
ON THE MENU
In the restaurant, traditional Greek cuisine such as fish and seafood, lamb, risotto and moussaka are all specially prepared with unique flavours from locally grown wild herbs. The take away kitchen offers souvlaki, grilled meats and the innovative calamari sandwich.
All products are organic and locally produced. Melia even produces, bottles and sells their own olive oil. Everything down to the pita bread for the take away sandwiches are made fresh on the premises.
