Fava beach is just south of Karidi beach in Vourvourou. This beach is actually 3 beaches next to each other that are favorites of the locals. The coast is elevated with many homes and villas on the cliff and the beaches are down below and sheltered by the cliffs and rocks. Many of the houses have private paths leading to the beach but you will need to use the public trail that brings you to the beach.
There is no development here, everybody brings their own umbrella.
The beach is a mix of sand and pebble and in parts has large rocks. The water has a sand/pebble bottom and the water is shallow and super clear. Fava is a wonderful place to take a swim. From the rocks you can jump into the deeper water below.
What’s great about Fava
Hidden beach that the locals know. Wonderfully clear waters to swim in.And what’s not…
A little difficult to find. No development, so bring your own things. As you pass the turnoff to Karidi, continue to drive east and you reach a residential area with large homes. Go left to the coast and you will reach the coastal road. You can park your car here and find the steps down to your desired beach.
