Bara beach is about 5 kilometers south of Vourvourou. There are 2 beaches and both are stone beaches. Nobody really comes here except for perhaps some nudists, so you may be the only person on this beach.
There is no development on Bara beach. The beach is not even pebble but more like small stones. The water bottom also has stones so it will be difficult to enter the sea without swimming shoes.
What’s great about Bara Beach
Isolation. The bay give protection so the water is calm and good for swimming.
And what’s not…
Rocky beach, swimming shoes are needed. No development. Difficult to get to.
You park off the main Sithonia road 5 km south of Vourvourou. To reach the north beach, walk down the dirt road, about 150 m and you will see the beach. A little further south is the 2nd beach. Also park the car a little further down as the road turns and walk down through the path to the beach. The 2nd beach is a little more difficult to reach.
