Aphroditi beach is a small cove that easily gets missed between Karidi beach and Fava beach. Located in a residential area of Vourvourou it is surrounded by homes and villas built on the elevated cliffs that overlook the beach. Access is by a narrow path that begins at the street and leads you down the valley to the beach.
Aphroditi beach isn’t organized so you will need to bring your own food and beach equipment.
The beach itself consists of sand and pebbles. The water is shallow with a sandy bottom and can at times have waves. The beach is somewhat sheltered by the cliffs that surround it. It faces northeast so expect an earlier sunset.
What’s great about AphroditiA small sandy beach that’s not well known. The water here is clean and there are some waves.
And what’s not…Not easy to find. Parking is on the street if you can find a spot. There are no restaurants or beach bars in the near vicinity. Despite being an outlier, Aphroditi beach still can get filled up.
Beach access is not so simple. A car is recommended to get to the southern neighbourhood of Vourvourou and then you need to find parking on the street. From the road, it’s about 100 meters to walk to the beach.
