Tourkolimnionas beach is a splendid little beach at the end of the road east of Sykia. The inlet allows for calm waters where fishing boats tend to anchor. If you come here, be sure to bring your snorkel and a mask to help pass the afternoon.
The beach is organized with sun-beds and umbrellas that have been placed by the restaurants that operate behind the beach. The sun-beds as usual just cost the price of a drink. There is still plenty of space to throw down a towel and be free on the beach. The restaurants are also quite reasonably priced.
The beach itself has coarse sand and the water is shallow and ideal for children. The sand continues into the water so you won’t need swimming shoes here. This is a great bay to have some calm water for swimming.
What’s great about Tourkolimnionas
Sheltered beautiful bay with a good beach. All the restaurants and organization that is needed. And what’s not…
Tends to get crowded in the high season. On the main Sithonia road from Sykia, turn left to the Sykia beach. Before you reach the beach the road continues straight up the hill on cobble pavement. Follow this narrow road and you will pass Linaraki beach then Pigadaki beach and Tourkolimnionas beach is directly after.
