Sykia or Sikia beach is just a short drive south of Sarti. Like Sarti beach it is long and wide with beautiful sand and has the “Blue flag” classification. The seabottom is also pleasantly sandy and has a good depth not being too shallow or deep. Since Sykia is not a well sought after destination a big plus is no crowds.
There is some organization here with a couple of beach bars that have set up sun beds and parasols, but not too much. There is plenty of camping on Sykia beach and the beaches around and there are plenty of really cool smaller beaches close by with good restaurants and beach bars.
As many beaches on Sithonia’s eastern side, you get a great view of Mount Athos and also some beautiful sunrises.
What’s great about Sykia Beach
Very large beach that never fills up. Has some organization so you can find food and drinks. And what’s not…
Most restaurants and food options are at a distance.Sykia beach is accessed by driving on the Sithonia road south, past the village Sykia. There is a road that turns left directing you to the beach.
