Klimataria beach is a little beach that has a big reputation. It is one of the 5 great little strands that run like a pearl necklace along the shore just east of Sykia. The bay is very sheltered so even on a windy day you can find that the waters here are calm. Highly recommended is to do some snorkeling in the bay.
Klimataria is very organized, practically the whole beach is covered with sun-beds and umbrellas that are part of the four beach bars. The beds are normally free with a drink and some of the beach bars also offer simple rooms for rent.
The beach has fine sand and the water is shallow. It is very good for children to play. If you stay until the evening you can even see the sunset which is not common on the eastern shore of Sithonia.
What’s great about Klimataria
Very picturesque beach with all the necessities to enjoy your day. Some great beach bars. Good for children. And what’s not…
Normally quite crowded in the peak season. Can be difficult to reach so a car is needed. On the main Sithonia road from Sykia, turn left to the Sykia beach. Before you reach the beach the road continues straight up the hill on cobble pavement. Follow this narrow road and you will pass several beaches. When you reach the abandoned overpass, turn left to Klimataria. There is parking available.
