Agridia beach is a small beach that begins a chain of Sykia beaches from the north. The beach is hidden at the end of an inlet that faces southeast. With the mountains surrounding the beach on each side it is well protected from winds. Agridia is very remote so few know that it’s here.
There is some organization from a canteen kitchen that has put up sun-beds and umbrellas. The food here is also a one in a million with large portions that taste great and are reasonably priced. Those who know about this beach often return to camp on a field behind the beach. Snorkeling is definitely recommended in the bay.
Agridia beach has good soft sand and the seabed is also sand. The water is not too deep so children can swim and it gradually gets deeper. The water is also very calm. Over all this is a good family beach.
What’s great about Agridia
Hidden little secret. Few people find it, so no crowds. Great food at the beach bar.And what’s not…
Can be difficult to find. From Sarti, about 3 km south you will find a dirt road on your left going to the coast, the road is a little washed out so use caution. After about 1.5 km you will come to Agridia. From Sykia drive north along the beach road. The road becomes a dirt road and goes around the mountian turning back to the sea. When the road divides, keep right and it will eventually lead you to Agridia beach.
