Goa beach is a small beach about 3 kilometers south of Sarti. It’s a very picturesque beach with nice sand and an amazing direct view to Mount Athos. It is surrounded by the mountain on 3 sides. The beach tends to catch the winds coming across from Mt. Athos so you normally get waves and this can make swimming and snorkeling challenging. Because of the waves and stones it’s not a suitable beach for young children.
The beach is organized by the Goa beach bar and the atmosphere that they create will make you think you landed on a beach in Asia. The beach bar will let you use the sun-beds if you order from the bar. Goa beach is more suitable to a younger crowd.
The beach would probably be busier than it gets, but the winding dirt road probably turns many people off from this beach.
What’s great about Goa Beach
Unique atmosphere and great view. The beach had good sand. Organized with a beach bar. Lots of parking. And what’s not…
Beach bar plays music which may disturb some. Traveling down the dirt road might be a put off. Usually there are waves and the seabed is rocky.Access is relatively easy with a car. Heading south from Sarti a few kilometers you climb a hill and the road turns right then you will see the sign on your left. Take this turn and follow the dirt road down to the bottom.
