Antikoufos beach, as it’s name would hint, is opposite Porto Koufo outside the bay on the open sea. It is a rock beach that is one of Sithonia’s most isolated.
Antikoufos beach has no development. It is located next to the “Cannons”, the ruins of the World War 2 Nazi military detachment. You can reach it either by boat or by a 3 kilometer path from the Toroni harbor.
The beach is a rock beach consisting of small to medium sized stones. Because of the lack of sand on the sea bottom the water is clear and there are waves. The beach is littered with garbage that has washed up on shore.
What’s great about Antikoufos
The beach is isolated except for the odd tourist coming to see the “Cannons”. Looks like a decent place for camping and to snorkel by the rocks. And what’s not…
Difficult to reach and the beach itself consists of rocks and pebbles. No facilities.
To reach Antifoufos beach, you can take a boat from Porto Koufo or Toroni or walk in. The walk path starts at the Toroni harbor by the Lekythos castle. Follow the signs to the “Cannons” for 3 kilometers along goat trails through the olive groves. When you reach the ruins of the military hospital, you can see the beach.
