Spathies beach has 2 parts, the lagoon with several smaller beaches and the larger beach to the south. There is no organization on these beaches. Near by are some apartments but nobody has put up sun-beds, so they are undeveloped beaches.
The lagoon beach is surrounded by cliffs on 3 sides, among the rock you will find sandy patches ranging in size from 50 meters to just a few meters. The surrounding rocks give protection from any wind, so the water is almost always calm and great for swimming. You can see people laying down their towels on the smooth rock surface and finding shade under the pine trees. The lagoon can get very crowded.
To the south is the large Spathies beach. This is a large sandy bay that has practically no people. Here you can find a quiet space to put down a towel and umbrella and enjoy a swim in the shallow waters.
