Kohylia beach is in a pleasant small sandy bay sheltered by many trees on what is part of Elia beach. Near by this beach there are just a few small family apartments, so very few people tend to come here. Kohylia beach is a not a bad place to find some quiet time or to watch the sunset.
There is no organization on Kohylia so it is recommended to bring a towel to put on the sand and an umbrella. You can also try some snorkeling by the cliffs.
The beach is sand and the water has a mix of sand and pebble sea-bottom. This bay is just north of Lagomandra beach so you can escape here if Lagomandra gets too crowded.
What’s great about Kohylia Beach
Quiet sheltered beach often with few people since everybody goes to Lagomandra. Not a bad place to find some quiet time or to watch the sunset.
And what’s not…
No organization so you have to bring everything yourself.
Driving south from Nikiti about 13 kilometers you will arrive at Lagomandra beach. Turn in towards the sea and take the coastal road back north. After about 200 meters you will arrive at Kohylia.
