Tripotamos beach is north of Neos Marmaras and south of Lagomandra beach in the small community called Tripotamos. The beach stretches for several kilometers and is more of a narrow sandy strip that widens out in some parts. The beach is often shaded by the trees so you can have some natural sun protection. Often people head to this beach to watch the spectacular sunset over the water.
This area has a lot of small family run apartments and villas that use the beach as their local beach. This means that there is sporadic beach development with sun-beds and umbrellas and at times even the odd beach bar on hotel property. Other than this, Tripotamos is considered an undeveloped beach. Castello beach is part of Tripotamos beach but is organized by the campsite. We consider this as a separate beach and describe it on its own page.
The beach is sandy and the seabed can be sand and in some spots rock. The water gets deep but not too quickly and is good for swimming.
What’s great about Tripotamos Beach
Local to many apartments. Sandy beach that’s not crowded. No loud music. And what’s not…
There are better beaches like Lagomandra. More open to the sea so not protected.Just after Lagomandra beach the main road bends left. At this bend is the start of Tripotamos beach.
