Diaporti beach is a beach by the causeway that leads to the island Gerochristo or Pounta South of Neos Marmaras. This area of Sithonia is very much off the beaten trail, but not so very difficult to get to.
There is no organization on this beach. The island has a private residence that is walled off by a fence so you will not be able to reach any of the beaches on the island unless you swim. At low tide the causeway appears and you can walk across or even drive across if you have a 4×4.
The beach is a pebble/stone beach and not really a place you would want to lie down on. The water is very clear due to the rock shelf sea-bottom. If you are tempted to swim here, be sure to bring swimming shoes.
What’s great about Diaporti Beach
Beautifully clear water. You will be alone here to swim. And what’s not…
Rocks, rocks and more rocks. A few sea urchins also. After the Porto Carras property line, you turn right off the main Sithonia road and drive south towards the coast. After a 100 m the road divides. Turn right and follow the road to the coast and turn left until you reach Vahti beach. Then follow the bay to the right and it will take you to Diaporti.
