Ormos Panagias puts on a show!
Each year the Nautical club of Ormos Panagias organizes the the Diaporos Regatta that gets the season off to a good start for water sporting activities. As in past years, these events are normally held twice a year, in July and then again in September, with races for different types of craft.
This year we give an opportunity for those with windsurfing boards, sailboats and catamarans to show us what they can do. It truly is an international event as participants gather from many countries across Europe and the world to enjoy the 3 days of Watersport competition in the beautiful setting of Sithonia.
The course will begin from the Ormos Panagias harbour and heading east past the promontory and arround the island of Kalogria and back.
Come and join the fun
The Diaporos Regatta is not just an event for the participants, but for their families and friends and anybody who would like to get involved in the fun. Bring your binoculars and cameras, grab a cold beer and a good vantage point and cheer on your favorite participant.
The first of the two, the 2016 Dinghies race, will be held from Friday July 15 – Sunday July 17 in Ormos Panagias. The competition is open to Optimist, Laser class sailboats, windsurf Division ll class boards, windsurf boards without measurement restrictions and catamarans without measurement restrictions. The Division ll class requires all participants to be ID2CA members and their equipment must be tagged with ID2CA stickers.

Fee: Youth – 10 euros, Men/Women – 25 euros
Before July 5, 2016 a 5 euro discount will apply
