Kriaritsi beach – The best of the best!
Beach: coarse sand
Water: clear, deep
Kriaritsi beach has got to be one of Halkidiki’s finest! A large, wide beach almost a kilometre long, it is difficult to match. The sandy beach drops off quickly and the bottom gets deep within a few meters. This is a swimmers beach. Caravans line the south half of the main beach where the campsite is located along with the beach bar. Along the southern side of the bay the separated beach is used for free camping and nudists. Kriaritsi is difficult to get to but not a beach to miss when in Sithonia.
How to get to Kriaritsi
Travelling south on the Sithonia main road a few kilometres from Sykia you come to an overpass. After going through, there is a sign to Kriaritsi, turn left on a dirt road. You will enter the monolithic development project that went belly up. It is a maze of paved roads (which would make an awesome go-cart track). Follow the directions either written on the pavement or on signs to the coast and to the beach – about 2-3 kilometres. Be careful not to get lost.
- Sun beds / umbrellas
- Beach bar
- Catch a sunrise from this beach
