Where is Sithonia, Halkidiki?

Halkidiki or Chalkidiki – is located in Greece’s northern region of Macedonia.
This three fingered peninsula, south of Thessaloniki, extends south into the Aegean Sea. From west to east the fingers of Halkidiki are called: Kassandra, Sithonia, and Athos. Kassandra is very developed with hotels, and large resorts. Athos, with the towering Mount Athos, is a 1000 year old Holy state belonging to the Orthodox Church. Sithonia, quietly nestled in between the two is a hidden paradise popular with the Greeks themselves.
